Welcome to Jonas Court, located in the Endcliffe Village offering a more traditional hall of residence with single ensuite accommodation. Located in landscape grounds within easy walking distance from the Edge (All catering and the villages main reception are located in the Edge).

Jonas Court was built in 1980s, named after Sir Joseph Jonas who owned Halifax Hall which is the 19th century period property located in front of Jonas Court. Jonas Court has been a popular working hall with students since then and still offers an excellent standard of accommodation in a perfect location.

Jonas Court has car parking outside the building and is a 10 minute walk from Sheffield town centre.

Dining and drinking

There is an onsite bar in The Edge (please note - this is only open subject to availability).

There is also an onsite cafe in The Edge which serves food and drink on a cash sales basis. This is open 8.30-3pm Mon-Fri (in Summer) and 8am-9pm Mon-Sun during term time.

Grounds and gardens

The Endcliffe Village is set in landscaped grounds, with a large pond at the heart of village ideal for sitting and relaxing around. Just a short walk from the village are the Botanical Gardens -  covering 19 acres and offering fifteen different garden areas featuring collections of plants from all over the world, including Mediterranean, Asian, American prairie-style, woodland and rock-and-water plantings.

The Endcliffe Village offers internet access in all bedrooms (Except Jonas Court - please ensure you request this when booking) a launderette facility and car parking.

Complimentary wireless internet access is available in the communal areas of The Edge, for people with their own laptops and a internet access point is available in the Edge main reception for people wishing to check e-mails, flight details, train times etc.

We have an onsite ATM for cash withdrawals. Located in the Edge by the cafe.

The Main Reception area within The Edge provides a 24 hour contact point and there is 24hr security on site at all times.

Check In: From 2pm Check Out: By 10am

All guests must arrive and check-in at the Edge main reception which is wihin the Endcliffe Village. Jonas Court is then a 2 minute drive or a 3-5 minute walk from here.

Parking: limited free parking is available within the Endcliffe Village. This is located outside The Edge. There is also free street car parking. All car parking is subject to availability throughout the course of your stay.

** Please note car parking can NOT be reserved unless for disabled access.

A car parking permit must be displayed at all times for the Village car park (parking permits are available from the Edge main reception and are free of charge).

A taxi from the train station takes 10-15 minutes at normal times.
